As Logistics and Shop Coordinator you will keep our 15+ field crew team members working efficiently by making sure they have what they need.

    The Logistics and Shop Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficiency of our field crews and job sites by managing and stocking materials and equipment daily. Responsibilities include maintaining an organized, clean, and well-stocked shop, tracking and ordering materials, and managing deliveries. This role also involves overseeing the entire fleet of vehicles, trailers, equipment, and tools to ensure they are well-maintained, clean, and ready for use. The Logistics and Shop Coordinator assists in mobilizing field crews each morning and helps with loading and unloading as needed. Additionally, they are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the entire JM Inc. property as well as delegating tasks to part-time shop assistants.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Purchasing and Inventory Management:

      • Track, order, and organize shop and job site materials.

      • Track, order, and maintain tool inventory.

    • Fleet and Equipment Maintenance:

      • Ensure equipment and trailers are in working order, clean, and ready for use.

      • Maintain trucks, vans, and trailers, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and operational.

    • Logistics:

      • Receive, mark, and organize material and equipment deliveries for job sites.

      • Track and order propane and fuel, ensuring tanks and vehicles are filled and ready for field crews.

      • Mobilize crews in the mornings and assist with loading/unloading as needed.

    • Property Maintenance:

      • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and presentation across JM Inc. property grounds and buildings.

    • Leading Shop:

      • Delegate tasks to shop assistants and ensure they remain productive.

      • Efficiently helping the field crews with materials, tools, and equipment.

    Requirements:

    • Prior experience in a similar role required.

    • Knowledge of the construction industry or a related industry preferred.

    • Proven leadership experience.

    • Purchasing and procurement experience required.

    • Experience working with project management or inventory management computer systems.

    • Friendly and outgoing personality

    • Mechanically inclined with the ability to use power tools and operate a forklift.

    • Experience in performing oil changes and maintenance on vehicles, equipment, and trailers is preferred

    • Proficiency in computers, including Excel, Outlook, internet ordering, and project management software.

    • Extremely organized with excellent planning and preparedness skills.

    • Task-oriented and efficient, able to work with minimal supervision and take charge of situations.

    • People-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.

    • Excellent communication skills.

    • Ability to operate equipment such as skid steers and mini excavators or be able to learn

    Salary: Starting at $60,000-75,0000/annually, depending on experience

    Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 10-hour shifts; occasional Fridays

  • JM Inc. is looking to hire a MASON APPRENTICE with an interest in a career doing a variety of masonry, hardscape, and landscape projects.  Experience is a plus, but not required. A desire and passion to learn the trade is an absolute must. On the job training is provided.

    Job Description:

    Masons complete a variety of hardscape, landscaping, and masonry maintenance and repairs on our clients’ homes, which includes working with brick, stone, block, stucco, and cement.

    Our Mason Apprentices work alongside and under the direction of experienced/foremen Masons completing a wide variety of masonry and construction tasks.

    Requirements:

    • Ability to work well with a team

    • Desire to learn and develop masonry skills

    • Ability to safely operate power tools, machines, and other construction-related equipment

    • Physically fit with good hand-eye coordination

    • Ability to stand for prolonged periods, climb, pull, and lift heavy objects

    • Comfortable working in all weather conditions

    • Valid driver’s license
