Job Summary:
JM Inc. is currently seeking a Lead Carpenter with well-rounded carpentry skills.
Our highly skilled carpenters complete a variety of home remodeling and repair projects for our clients. They work with the Project Coordinator to ensure the project is completed within scope and on time, they lead a small crew to complete projects, and work with specialty trades on the job site. They are well rounded in all aspects of carpentry and can complete carpentry tasks without guidance. They are hardworking, reliable team players with good communication and organizational skills. They have a can-do, great attitude. They provide excellent customer service while working in our clients’ homes.

Job Summary:
The Masonry Foreman supervises and coordinates the work of masonry crews on residential construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time and to specified quality and safety standards. This role requires extensive masonry experience, leadership abilities, and strong knowledge of construction drawings and materials.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Crew Supervision:
Lead and supervise masons, laborers, and apprentices on site.
Assign daily tasks and monitor productivity and performance.
Provide hands-on guidance and training as needed.
Project Coordination:
Interpret blueprints, drawings, and project plans.
Communicate regularly with project coordinator about progress, issues, and changes.
Work with specialty trades on-site
Quality Control:
Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Ensure proper mixing, laying, and finishing techniques are followed.
Identify and correct workmanship issues.
Material and Equipment Management:
Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment as needed
Ensure correct and efficient use of materials to minimize waste.
Safety Oversight:
Enforce site safety protocols and ensure crew compliance with OSHA regulations.
Conduct safety meetings and hazard assessments.
Respond to and report incidents or injuries immediately.
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
5+ years of masonry experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong understanding of various masonry techniques (brick, block, stone, concrete).
Masons that thrive when given a challenge and have excellent problem-solving skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work well as a team
Physical ability to lift heavy materials and work in all weather conditions.
Valid driver’s license.
Working Conditions:
Outdoor work in varying weather conditions.
Early start times and occasional overtime depending on project deadlines.
Physically demanding, including lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.

Job Summary:
Our Masonry Professionals are skilled tradespersons responsible for constructing and repairing structures made of brick, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and physical strength. The Masonry Professional interprets blueprints, prepares work areas, and ensures high-quality finishes in accordance with project specifications and safety standards.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Construction and Installation:
Build walls, partitions, chimneys, fireplaces, walkways, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, natural and manufactured stone, or similar materials.
Mix and apply mortar, grout, and other bonding agents.
Align and level structures using plumb lines, levels, and measuring tools.
Cut and shape masonry materials to fit specifications using hand and power tools.
Surface Finishing and Repair:
Apply surface treatments such as pointing, parging, or waterproofing.
Repair or replace damaged masonry in existing structures.
Maintain consistent finishes and ensure structural integrity.
Reading Plans and Layout:
Interpret construction drawings and layout work accordingly.
Mark guidelines and reference points for positioning materials.
Collaborate with engineers, foremen, and other trades on site.
Site Preparation and Safety:
Prepare surfaces and work areas for masonry construction.
Erect scaffolding and use safety harnesses or fall protection where necessary.
Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE
Skills and Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Proven experience in masonry (bricklaying, blockwork, stonework, etc.).
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical plans.
Skilled in using masonry tools (trowels, chisels, hammers, saws, mixers).
Strong math, measurement, and problem-solving skills.
Physical strength and stamina; ability to lift heavy materials and work long hours.
Working Conditions:
Mostly outdoor work in all weather conditions.
Exposure to dust, noise, and heavy materials.
May involve working at heights or in confined spaces.

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Masonry Apprentice to assist experienced masons with various masonry tasks including bricklaying, blockwork, stonework, and concrete work. This is an entry-level position offering hands-on training and the opportunity to build a long-term career in the masonry trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist masons with mixing mortar, cutting bricks and stone, and laying materials.
Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment at the job site.
Prepare work areas and ensure they are clean and safe.
Carry bricks, blocks, and stones to work areas as needed.
Learn to use hand and power tools safely and correctly.
Help with the setup and dismantling of scaffolding or other temporary structures.
Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Support cleanup and site organization at the end of each shift.
Measure and mark surfaces using measuring tools under supervision.
Perform other general labor and masonry-related tasks as directed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Interest in learning the masonry trade and working outdoors.
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work.
Punctual, dependable, and eager to follow instructions.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions.
Previous construction or labor experience is a plus but not required.
Work Environment:
Indoor and Outdoor job sites, typically residential homes
Exposure to weather, dust, and heavy materials.
May require early morning starts, overtime, and weekend work depending on project needs.
Most work is local. Some travel involved.
Job Tyle: Full-time and year-round
Pay: Starting at $20 per hour. Experienced Masons earn up to $40 per hour.
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
