Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Carpentry Foreman to lead a team of carpenter assistants on home renovation projects. The Carpentry Foreman is responsible for supervising a team of carpenter assistants and laborers, ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and according to project specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have hands-on carpentry expertise, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of residential construction standards and practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead a crew of carpenter assistants and laborers on construction sites while working alongside them
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical plans.
Oversee framing, installation of doors/windows, trim work, cabinetry, flooring, and other residential carpentry tasks.
Communicate effectively with homeowners, general contractors, and project managers.
Inspect work for quality, accuracy, and compliance with safety and building codes.
Train and mentor carpentry staff, providing guidance on best practices and techniques.
Ensure proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment.
Monitor progress, inspect work, and resolve on-site issues quickly and professionally.
Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports and timesheets.
Ensure all work meets quality standards and complies with local building codes and safety regulations.
Promote a safe work environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
5+ years of experience in carpentry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of building materials, methods, and tools.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Proficiency in safety procedures
Physical stamina and dexterity to work in various conditions and environments.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Work Environment and Conditions:
Work primarily on residential job sites like remodels and additions, and occasional new builds.
May involve work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in physically demanding environments.
May require overtime based on project needs.
Job Tyle: Full-time and year-round
Pay: $30-$45 per hour
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm
